The Uptown Foundation assisted me greatly during my college admissions journey. I was grateful to have had the opportunity to attend weekly SAT classes because the more I practiced the material, the more confident and skilled I felt on the day of the test. Along with in-person classes, I was provided with SAT prep books for at-home practice, which I used during the pandemic months. I am most thankful for the generosity of The Uptown Foundation Scholarship, which helped me tremendously with textbooks and lab fees. At times when I felt stressed, I knew I could rely on The Uptown Foundation to better prepare me for my dream school.
